Clinton Morrison. Free agent for a reason?

From BBC Sport:

Crystal Palace have confirmed striker Clinton Morrison’s contract offer has been withdrawn.

The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international was offered a new contract towards the end of last season, which was turned down.

The club also stated that no further offers will be made.

Morrison, who has been a free agent since the start of July, was the club’s top scorer last season, netting 16, including his 100th goal for the club.

I remember Morrison “nearly” signing for us before he went back to Palace a few years ago – and I think he’s probably scored against us in more games than not since.

What do we reckon – worth a punt?

  4. He has been training and playing pre season for Coventry and I presonally rate him. As well as Eastwood and Best he will do well I think as long as his injury can be sorted out and proven that it is not that serious.

Although we don’t want another sicknote.
